The good news is of course that there is new information about the sixth Temeraire-novel, whose title "Tongues of Serpents" seems to solidify. An article has been posted on Suvudu.com , which already gives you an idea about what the plot of the next book is going to be like. According to the article, Temeraire and Laurence will arrive in New South Wales, nowadays known as Australia, in the year 1809, where they are immediately drawn into the local power struggles. Australia has been mainly used as a prison colony by the British government, therefore prisoners and military officers make up the local population. It seems that especially William Bligh, former captain of the infamous HMS Bounty and ex-governor of New South Wales, will be playing an important part in the plot. The bad news is that the book's release has been delayed until summer next year. But since Naomi Novik has obviously used the time to do some researching, the wait should be worth the while.
